AKC Size: Ideally, not to exceed 6 pounds. Color: Any color - solid, marked or splashed.

Basic Requirements: The Chihuahua is a true lap dog, and will do well in a small-sized home or apartment. Weekly brushing is enough to control moderate shedding.

Temperament: Alert, active, happy temperament. Loyal and devoted to their owners. Due to their small size, Chihuahuas do best with older children.
