AKC Height: Ideal height is Dogs - 15"; Bitches - 14", give or take 1/2". Color: Black; Any Color Other Than Black (ASCOB); Parti-Color.

Basic Requirements: Cocker Spaniels need a moderate-sized, fenced yard in which to exercise. Early socialization is important. They require weekly brushing and trimming every 6 weeks or so.

Temperament: Cocker Spaniels are friendly, happy dogs. Properly bred Cockers are even-tempered and make good family pets.

Health: (Health Dictionary click here) Average lifespan is 12 years. Watch for PRA, Familial Nephropathy (FN), Hip Dysplasia, Epilepsy
