Basic Requirements: Curly-Coated Retrievers need a strong, 6' fence and an average-sized yard in which to exercise. Early obedience training and socialization is important. Bi-weekly brushing with a pin brush will help to control moderate shedding.

Temperament: Curly-Coated Retrievers want to be a part of the family. They are loyal yet independent. Curlies make good watchdogs as they will usually bark when strangers approach the home.
