AKC Height: Ideally, 8 to 11 inches. Color: Pepper (dark bluish black to a light silvery gray) or Mustard (reddish brown to a pale fawn).

Basic Requirements: Dandie Dinmont Terriers need a moderate-sized securely fenced yard in which to exercise. Weekly brushing is necessary.

Temperament: Lively, bold-natured, independent. Fond of children, but best with older children. This breed makes good watchdogs, as they will bark if a stranger approaches the home.
