AKC Height: Ideally, Dogs about 25 inches; bitches about 24 inches.  Color: Orange belton, blue belton (white with black markings), tricolor (blue belton with tan on muzzle, over the eyes and on the legs), lemon belton, liver belton.

Basic Requirements: English Setters need a large well-fenced yard in which to exercise. Weekly or bi-weekly brushing will help keep moderate shedding under control. Some trimming of the coat will be needed every 6 weeks or so.

Temperament: Gentle, friendly and good with children. English Setters are very people-oriented and make great family dogs. They will bark if a stranger comes to the door.

Health: (Health Dictionary click here) Average lifespan is 12 years. Watch for Hip/Elbow Dysplasia, Allergies, Hypothyroidism, Deafness
