or rich chestnut red with no black. A small amount of white on
chest, throat or toes, or a narrow centered streak on skull is
allowed. |

Requirements: Irish
Setters are very active dogs that need a large, well-fenced yard in
which to run and play on a daily basis. Early obedience training is
important. Weekly brushing will help to control moderate shedding,
and occasional trimming is necessary. |
 | Temperament:
Irish
Setters are happy, playful dogs. They make good family pets.
Although they will probably bark when a stranger approaches the
home, they are not generally aggressive watchdogs. |
