AKC Height: Ideally, 18-19 1/2 inches for a dog, and 17 1/2-19 inches for a bitch. Color: Any shade of blue gray or gray blue from deep slate to light blue-gray.

Basic Requirements: Kerry Blue Terriers need a well-fenced, moderate-sized yard in which to exercise. They love to play games like fetch. Twice-weekly brushing and trimming every 6 weeks will keep the coat healthy. The breed is considered to be non-shedding. Early obedience training is recommended.

Temperament: Kerry Blue Terriers are intelligent, bold, eager-to-please dogs. They are generally good with children, and they make good family pets. If a stranger comes to the door, they will warn with a bark.
