They are curious, loving, intelligent and great companions. They never seem to have a day off! The attitude of a Miniature Schnauzer can be pretty overwhelming, but behind the impetuous behavior you can be sure there is a heart of gold. The Miniature Schnauzer comes in different colors: Salt/pepper, black, black/silver and white. I've owned dogs of different breeds in my life, but the Miniature Schnauzer is by far the easiest and funniest of them all.

AKC Height: Ideally, 12 inches to 14 inches at the top of the withers. Color: Salt and pepper, black and silver and solid black.

Basic Requirements: At home in the country or city apartment. Regular bathing, brushing, and trimming is required. The breed does not shed much.

Temperament: Alert and spirited. Friendly, intelligent, and willing to please.

Health: (Health Dictionary click here) Urinary tract problems, PRA (eye disorder), myotonia congeneta, cataracts, liver disease, diabetes, heart disease, kidney stones, skin conditions.
