Norwegian Elkhound

AKC Height: Dogs 20 1/2 inches; bitches 19 1/2 inches. Color: Gray with black tips and silver undercoat.

Basic Requirements: Norwegian Elkhounds need an average-sized yard with room to run and play. Bi-weekly brushing will help to control moderate to heavy seasonal shedding.

Temperament: Norwegian Elkhounds are affectionate dogs that make good family pets. They will bark when a stranger comes to the door and they make good watchdogs, although they are not aggressive.
