Requirements: For
the hairless Chinese Crested, weekly baths with special treatment
for dry skin is necessary. The skin is prone to breakouts that
require attention. Powderpuff dogs require weekly brushing
and trimming is needed a few times a year. Chinese Cresteds need a moderate
amount of room to exercise and play. |
| Temperament:
Playful,
affectionate, and devoted to their owners, Chinese Cresteds may be
aloof with strangers. They are intelligent and learn readily;
however, they may have an independent streak. |

Watch for
skin problems in the hairless Chinese Crested, Luxated Patellar,
Dry Eye, Legg-Calve Perthes Disease, wool and lanolin allergies. The
average lifespan is 14 years. |
