Lisa Puskas has owned Ibizan Hounds for over thirty years, breeding under the kennel name "Paradise". She is a freelance writer who has published books and magazine and newspaper articles for corporations that include TFH Publications, the American Kennel Club, the Iams Dog Food Company, and Dog Fancy magazine.

Lisa chaired the Ibizan Hound Club of the US breed standard committee that revised the American Kennel Club Ibizan Hound breed standard. She has extensive experience organizing conformation, obedience, and agility events, serving on boards of national and local dog clubs, judging at national and local specialty sweepstakes shows and all-breed matches, and she has been a featured speaker at judges seminars.

Lisa welcomes inquiries, and is happy to share her knowledge with other Ibizan Hound breeders and the public.

Ibizans are a wonderful child-like breed that seem to retain their Peter Pan youthfulness well into adulthood. Active as puppies, they require close supervision, lots of love, attention, and an equal amount of gentle guidance to teach them right from wrong.

As an adult, there is not a more devoted dog. Ibizan Hounds make great family pets, and their youthful exuberance is a perfect match for school age children.
