AKC Height: Ideally, dogs 9-10"; bitches slightly smaller. Color: All shades of red, wheaten, black and tan, or grizzle.

Basic Requirements: Weekly brushing will help to control moderate shedding. Occasional bathing and stripping or trimming of the coat is required. Norfolk Terriers require moderate daily exercise.

Temperament: Norfolk Terriers are high-energy dogs. Some Norfolk Terrier pups are more laid-back than others. Have your breeder help you to choose one with the temperament you desire. They make good family dogs and will bark if a stranger comes to the door.

Health (Health Dictionary click here) Average lifespan is 13 years. Watch for heart murmurs, hip dysplasia, eye disorders, epilepsy.
