SPRINGER SPANIEL
Characteristics,
care, health & breeder listings below.

The
Welsh Springer Spaniel has been bred for centuries in the isolated
mountains and valleys of Wales as a combination gundog and family
companion. It has been selected for health and working ability and
therefore has few hereditary defects.
The
breed is gentle and peace loving, excellent with children and very
alert to strange noises. When kept as house pets they are excellent
watch dogs but are not aggressive, merely alerting you to some
strange person or sound.
Welsh
Springers are in their natural habitat in the field, even if only
for an occasional romp. They are excellent bird dogs.
In
35 years of breeding I have never had one go away from home . They
are very family attached.
