Basic Requirements: Whippets require a well-fenced yard with enough room to run and play on a daily basis. Weekly brushing and occasional bathing will help to control minor shedding.

Temperament: Whippets are gentle dogs that are good with families and children. Although they are energetic outdoors, they are generally quiet indoors. They are not typically good watchdogs.

Health (Health Dictionary click here) Average lifespan is 13 years. Watch for eye problems, low thyroid levels, heart murmurs
